Games Workshop has 2 New Miniature Set Pre-Orders for The Horus Heresy

MkIV Assault Squad

Assault Squads equipped with jump packs are rapid-attack units whose wargear is optimised for close-quarter fighting and hit-and-run tactics. Their jump packs allow them to move with great speed across the battlefield and impact the enemy line with savage force, leaping past intervening terrain and open defences to engage their adversaries in bloody melee.

Mark IV ‘Maximus’ armour is designed to offer a fine balance of agility and durability. Its comparatively lightweight design, armoured external cabling, and redesigned helm make it prized among the Legiones Astartes.

They can also be assembled as a Veteran Assault Squad, each armed with an optional power lance.

MkIV Tactical Squad - view 1

MkIV Tactical Squad

Tactical Squads are the mainstay of the Space Marine Legions, highly versatile infantry units that can attack or defend at will, assault heavily fortified positions, take and hold strategic objectives – or simply slaughter the enemy – in almost any terrain or situation.

Mark IV ‘Maximus’ Armour is designed to offer a fine balance of agility and durability. Its comparatively lightweight design, armoured external cabling, and redesigned helm make it prized among the Legiones Astartes.

Versatile Legionaries in Maximus Armour

This multipart plastic kit builds 20 Space Marines Legionaries for use as a Tactical Squad in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. They are ideal for holding key objectives, gunning down enemy units with volleys of bolter fire, and reinforcing front lines to turn the tide of battle. Each is armed with a bolter and bolt pistol, and can also be outfitted with a variety of optional components, including grenades, holstered pistols, bayonets, and pouches. They can be built as one large unit, or two smaller units of 10, each with its own optional Sergeant, Legionary with nuncio-vox, and Legionary with vexilla. They can also be used to represent Veteran Tactical Squads.

Equip Your Squad

The kit includes parts to outfit 2 legionaries with a back-mounted vexilla, and 2 more with a back-mounted nuncio-vox. You’ll also find enough bits to build 2 Sergeants, each with a choice of bolt or plasma pistol, and a power sword, power fist, or lightning claw. There are 20 helmeted heads, 12 bare heads, and interchangeable shoulder pads.

These miniatures have no Legion-specific markings, so you can use them in any Legiones Astartes force, whether you’re loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion.
