PHR Longreach Snipers
The RXp-14 Longreach anti-materiel rifle is routinely carried by a specialist among regular Immortal Teams. On occasion, whole squads are armed with these formidable weapons. Individually, they are deadly. Collectively, the weight of superbly accurate, large calibre, high velocity fire can exploit chinks in any vehicle. Longreach teams are also consummate snipers and carry additional equipment for infiltration missions, beyond the usual military-grade cybernetics. Characteristically, their adaptive camouflage cloaks perfectly match the visual texture and tone of their chosen vantage. Silent, patient, and calculating, Longreach teams have been known to wait days ahead of spectacular kills.

Resistance Occupation Veterans
Battle-hardened souls who have survived the crucible of combat and beaten the odds time and time again are usually granted the best kit. Having often been on the receiving end of Scourge firepower, they have a grudging respect for alien technology. Rather than cower before it, they turn it against them.
Any human can use a Plasma Rifle, being designed for human hosts, but the supply of captured examples is limited, and no one has discovered how to re-energise them. Armourers, therefore, deliberately overload them. This rapidly wears down the guns, but not before they run out of power. This grants these experienced marksmen extended range

Shaltari Pungari
In the Pungari, the Shaltari found a much more pliant, if less capable, race to exploit than the humans they once tried to enlist. Despite their obvious mental and technological inferiority to their masters, Pungari are slavishly devoted to the Shaltari and appear willing to die in large numbers for them should one be present to witness their sacrifice. What they lack in marksmanship with their shouldered Discus Launchers is compensated for by prodigious numbers, stocky build, and exuberant enthusiasm. They are useful exploration troops routinely sent into unmapped structures; potentially dangerous, unglamorous environments that Shaltari may be less eager to enter blindly.

Scourge Razorworms
The Razorworm is a merciless predator, a terror of dark places, and a living nightmare in chitin, flesh and claws. As a particularly virulent life form, the Scourge maintains breeding stock of these voracious aliens for use as hosts.
Scourge controlled Razorworms lose none of their incredible killing power but gain a calculating, merciless Scourge intelligence. The host’s primal nature prevents complex, tactical use, but that is rarely necessary. The ominous screech of a Razorworm’s hundred, wickedly sharp claws scraping along an overhead ventilation duct is often the last thing many get to hear, save their own screams.

UCM Praetorians
The Praetorians are in a different league to standard Legionnaires. Their equipment is similarly utilitarian, but Praetorians are elite. Ascension to their ranks is through merit only. Their lethality comes through skill, training, and aggression. They are specialists in room clearance, CQB, and clandestine operations. Standard gear includes UM3-K carbines, NVGs, grenades, breaching charges, and advanced imaging equipment. Praetorians favour the Raven Light Troopship for its speed, manoeuvrability, and subtlety. Praetorians are trained to fast rope from their dropships directly onto their objectives, increasing the element of surprise before their devastating assault.

Bioficer Hulks
Hulks are slightly taller, bulked-out variants of standard Drones. Almost entirely muscle, bone, and sinew, a Hulk can rip a fully armoured human in half. Their primary purpose though is to lug heavy weaponry. Their short-ranged Winnow Carbines can unleash coruscating bursts of uncontrolled decon energies, reducing a target to random chunks of metal and gushing flesh. Contrary to their appearance, Hulks can move with inhuman speed and mechanical precision from the moment they step out of a Genitor unit, making them an instant threat to unfortunate aircraft and infantry.
