Three years ago, we deployed FEET FIRST INTO HELL, a game built to deliver a dynamic, rapid-playing sci-fi skirmish experience that keeps all players on the bounce. This new edition hugely expands the core and dials everything up to eleven with tons of new player options, equipment, missions, lore, art, and more! If you’re looking for a modular, deadly tabletop skirmish experience to shoot the breeze (and the xenos) with buddies, you’ve found the right game.
FFIH combines the dramatic action and tension of military sci-fi with larger than life characters and deadly battlefields. The Field Manual 2nd Edition presents a rules-lite, highly customizable experience that learns and plays lightning-fast. It’s the kind of game you can use to introduce a friend or kid to wargaming, and yet deep enough to keep the action on full throttle for years to come.
FEET FIRST INTO HELL’s 2.0 rule set introduces a substantial number of changes and additions that merit connecting with new backers and veteran supporters. While the original book was just 20 pages long, the 2nd Edition weighs in at 134 pages. New features include the SPEC-TR operative classes, a fully realized posture system, all-new deployment patterns, improved enemy AI rules, fresh and revitalized game modes, new equipment, a campaign builder tool, more battlefield hazards and scenarios, and a ton of 2d and 3d (printable!) art to bring your war torn archipelagos to life.
Based on years of field testing the game with other players, the 2nd Edition also expands the ruleset layout, providing full-page spreads of key mechanics, alongside photography, efficiently teaching how to play the game and centering critical information for quick reference. Of course, the heart of FFIH has always been the rules-lite, fun-heavy approach, so the condensed rules are still available to print on one sheet of paper, front and back, as Appendix A in the back of the book.
