Warlord Ascendant 2nd Edition

Warlord Ascendant is a dark fantasy solo/co-op skirmish wargame set in a brutal “No Man’s Land”. Players command a small, customizable warband (4–10+ models) to fight, explore a procedurally generated hex map, and build a fortress to establish a petty kingdom.

Focused on small-scale battles, set in the world of Sacrifice: An Incense & Iron RPG. In it, you take control of a small warband; this can be anything, from a group of mercenary soldiers, to a horde of desperate peasants, or even an inquisitor with their retinue. Your goal is to grow more powerful and extend your influence over as much of No Man’s Land as possible, potentially turning you into one of the big names in the region.

Key features include:
  • Gameplay Phases: Features two distinct phases: a combat phase using a D20/D100-based system and a management phase for base-building and expanding territory.
  • Setting: A low-fantasy, grim medieval world inspired by Berserk, connected to the Sacrifice RPG.
  • Warbands: Eight diverse archetypes—ranging from mercenaries to demonic warriors—each with unique units, lore, and abilities.
  • Progression: Units level up, gain perks, and secure better gear found on the battlefield.
