Argatoria 2nd Edition

Argatoria is a 10mm fantasy rank-and-flank wargame set in a brutal, barbarian-themed world, designed for fast-paced, 60-90 minute battles on small tables. It features alternating activations, heavy focus on close combat over shooting, and hand-sculpted miniatures depicting human and reptilian tribes fighting for domination.
Key Features & Mechanics
  • Scale & Style: 10mm miniatures on 20mm/25mm bases, allowing for large armies on a 5 foot by 3 foot surface.
  • Activation System: Players roll 2D6 at the start of a turn, with the lower number indicating how many units can act (up to four), introducing a strategic element of chance.
  • Combat Focus: Primarily a close-combat game with limited shooting; it features a unique “prayer” system for unit bonuses.
  • Hero Mechanics: Heroes do not have individual stat lines but attach to units to provide bonuses and must be managed carefully to avoid being destroyed.
  • Blood Points: The goal is to accumulate more “Blood Points” than the opponent, with each base generally worth one point.
Setting & Armies
  • World: Set in the world of Umbra Turris, featuring a gritty, “sword and sorcery” feel inspired by barbarian fiction.
  • Factions: The game includes four initial factions: two human tribes (Dirandis & Vaendral) and two reptilian tribes (Arox & Sorgax).
