In a parodically generic fantasy world, dungeon crawling has become a spectator sport.
Quarterlands: Dungeon Running League is a fast-paced, miniature-agnostic tabletop wargame and TTRPG system. It utilizes a highly randomized blend of playing cards and dice to simulate chaotic, tactical dungeon delves where players build teams of gladiators and race against the clock.
Core Mechanics
Team Building: You create a warband consisting of two unique gladiators, each equipped with specific stats and special powers.
Gameplay Loop: Play involves fighting, scoring objectives, and frequently dying. When a gladiator falls, they respawn and rejoin the fray until time runs out.
Randomness: Due to the combination of cards and dice, the game requires you to make tactical choices in highly volatile, procedurally generated circumstances.
Leagues & Supplements
The game is designed to be highly modular. You can download and run different league packets—such as the popular Seasons in the Pit and Monsters modules.
Modularity: It is “miniature-agnostic,” meaning you can use any tabletop models or figures you already own.
Expansions: These mini-supplements provide fresh quests, delves, and AI-controlled enemy encounters.
