In 2020 I decided to design a battle tank for a well-known grim-dark wargaming setting for my own personal collection. I was inspired by the German Tiger 1 of WW2. Using design cues from the legendary German Tiger 1 and giving it some gothic-future flare, this “Grim Tiger 1” became the basis of my personal Imperial Guard tank collection. I shared a photo of it online and it was received incredibly well. I decided to begin selling the STL on Gumroad and Cults3D. With its modular weapons, storage compartment, easily printable design on both FDM or resin printers, it was a great success. I decided to expand the range and began designing other vehicles such as the Grim 251 transport and Grim Hummel Artillery. I’ve designed many many others since then which have become unique centerpieces in many of my followers personal collections. In 2024 I launched my first Kickstarter campaign for the Grim Ratte Super-Heavy Tank and Tank Destroyer! It was highly successful and well received. I then followed up with the campaign for the Grim BF-109 Fighter plane and Grim ISU-152 Heavy Tank Destroyer and Crusader Kit. For this reason, it’s with great excitement that I return and bring to Kickstarter my most recent project, “Across the Ages: German-Inspired Machines of War”
