Gruddle
One Any Scale single piece metal miniature. A fur covered creature with large eyes and long arms ending in sharp claws. It is 25mm to top of its risen claws.
On the rocky world of Proxima Centauri B in a system that offers one of the nearest chances for liquid water and a breathable oxygen rich atmosphere, the Gruddle lives as a forager among the sparse vegetation. Its thick white fur shields from the planet’s frequent stellar flares and chilly nights. Strong limbs and sharp claws help it dig for roots and climb jagged basaltic outcrops. The creature often raises its arms high, dark eyes alert and mouth agape in a defensive display that revealed formidable teeth. traits that serve it well when, later in life, it undergoes a dramatic metamorphosis into the more formidable Ruddle.
The first Earth survey team set down near a promising valley encountering a Gruddle scavenging among the rocks. Startled, the creature charged briefly with surprising speed, claws outstretched, forcing the explorers to scatter before it. Later they would learn that the Ruddle was far more dangerous.
As the humans withdrew to their lander, the Gruddle returned to its rocky perch, arms still raised in cautious vigilance. Future visitors would learn to respect both of its forms. Understanding that even the most promising planets near Earth harboured life cycles as strange as some of those on Earth.
