8cm Mortar Platoon

• The 81/14 mortar was used extensively by the Fucilieri and was issued to the Mortar Battalion of a division
• The mortar battalion contained twenty-seven 81/14 mortars (in three companies of 9 mortars each, divided into three platoons)
• The Platoons were then parcelled out as needed to support Fucilieri Companies
• Contains 4x 8cm Mortar Teams

Breda Machine-gun Platoon

• Whether armed with the German MG42 or the Italian Breda modello 37 heavy machine-gun, the machine-gunners can provide the infantry with devastating supporting fire
• Contains 4x Breda HMG Teams

Engineer Platoon

• Equipped with everything they needed, from flame-throwers to demolition charges, machine-guns to rapid-fire light mortars, the engineers were almost unstoppable in a close assault on an enemy defensive position

Infantry Platoon

• The Fucilieri (fusiliers), the riflemen, are the backbone of the Royal Army
• They are not volunteers; they are recruited from those eligible for conscription
• They are not in it to be heroes, but often the reluctant heroes are the greatest
• They are there to get the war won and return home to their farms and villages
• Armed with the old Carcano 91 rifle and a few new Breda 30 machine-guns, the Fucilieri must rely on their courage more than on technology

• The L3/35 tankette was a tiny armoured vehicle and a number of field modifications were made to improve its effectiveness
• Some were fitted with 20mm Solothurn anti-tank rifles to give it an anti-tank capability, while others were fitted with an externally mounted 45mm Brixia light mortar to increase its firepower against enemy defences
• Contains 4x L3/35 tankettes with Lanciafiamme, Solothurn and Brixia options
