Marder Tank-Hunter Platoon

• Faced with Russian tanks that their own tanks could not easily penetrate, the Germans hastily mounted captured Russian guns on obsolete Panzer 38(t) tank chassis
• These effective tank-hunters quickly found their way to the desert where their ability as long-range tank killers was appreciated
• Unlike the lighter 7.5cm infantry gun, the 15cm howitzer couldn’t be mounted aboard a Sd Kfz 251 half-track, so instead the Germans experimented with using several different out-dated tank chassis
• By 1943, the result was the Grille (Cricket) self-propelled 15cm gun which gave the panzergrenadiers their own high-calibre, mobile guns to shatter enemy strongholds.

Hermann Göring Heavy Platoon

• Additional firepower for the panzergrenadiers comes from the heavy platoon which provides machine-guns to strengthen defensive positions as required
• Mortars are one of the most useful support weapons available to the infantry, due to being so close to the front line and their steep arc of fire, they can range in with higher accuracy than divisional artillery and can get rounds on the ground a lot faster
• Contains 4x sMG42 HMG Teams and 2x 8cm Mortar Teams

Hermann Göring Panzergrenadier Platoon

• The Panzergrenadiers of the Hermann Göring Fallschirmpanzerdivision were the backbone of any divisional Sperrverbande
• Their mobility and esprit de corps had the German High Command calling on them whenever their defensive lines in Italy were being threatened
• Contains 9x Infantry Teams
