Autocar 75mm SP

• In Tunisia the British recognised a need for heavy support for recon units when entering defiles and other concealing terrain
• It was decided to adopt the US designed M3 75mm GMC, a self-propelled 75mm gun mounted on a half-track
• They were issued to the Heavy Troop of each Squadron and used until the end of the war
• They were used as heavy support in Armoured Squadrons and first saw action in Italy lending their heavy fire to the armoured cars, their mobility meant it can re-deploy quickly and continue firing

Commonwealth Rifle Platoon

• No matter what higher headquarters or the papers say, the real fighting is done by the infantry soldier
• With little fanfare they are the ones that slog through the terrain regardless of weather and overcome the enemy in their bunkers
• When the battle gets tough make sure you have enough infantry around to carry the battle in your favour.

Tirailleurs Platoon (Italy)

• A French Company Command is led by an officer steeped in the traditions of the French Army
• He is a patriot, his courage is unquestioned and he will lead the company to victory
• He will see France free again but first the army must prove itself here in Italy

• The Humber acts as a scout for the British army. Armed with a boyes anti-tank rifle and a Bren, it can perform its duty and defend itself well

• The Canadian light reconaissance car (LRC) equipped their infantry recce battalions
• Otters use stealth rather than firepower to do their job
