The Mission
Ever since No Name Games was founded in 2022, I’ve striven to write wargames that tell stories, and I’m continuing that here. Eleven Bravo is a set of 15-28mm scale modern war-gaming rules that place you in the boots of a platoon commander in a modern conflict anytime from 1990 to now. Re-fight Fallujah, drop down from a Black Hawk into Mogadishu, or ignite your own fictional hot-spot.
My goal was to strike a balance between the tactical depth of Force on Force and the fluid friction of Crossfire. I wanted rules that provided players with a wide variety of tactical options without being bogged down by complex charts or a rigid “I-Go-You-Go” turn structure.
The Enemy
In a real firefight, the enemy doesn’t “wait their turn.” Eleven Bravo features a dynamic reaction system inspired by Crossfire: as your units maneuver, the enemy can react instantly, pinning your squads in place or seizing the initiative.
Who is the enemy? The core rulebook features nine core factions including the US Army, US Marines, British Army, German Army, and Ukrainian Army, as well as Russian, Iraqi and Chinese forces. For asymmetric conflicts, I’ve included a catch-all Irregular list for militia and insurgents. Altogether, these provide multiple specialized army lists right out of the box.
The Terrain
The battlefield is entirely up to you. I designed Eleven Bravo to be miniatures-agnostic: the rules work seamlessly whether your platoons are tiny 15mm sculpts or super-detailed 28mm soldiers.
I’ve done my best to reduce tape-measure tedium, as well. There’s only one measurement you have to make: movement. For everything else, Eleven Bravo utilizes a line-of-sight system: if you can see it, you can shoot it. This shifts the focus away from range-guessing and back toward building dense, realistic tables packed with cover and tactical complexity.
The Troops
To command your troops effectively, you need a field manual, and that’s just what you’ll get by backing this Kickstarter – a high-quality rulebook in both PDF and a physical softcover.
So what does the rulebook include? Nine different factions, more than nine army lists, six different missions (as well as some free scenarios on the No Name Games website) and a ruleset based on troop quality and reactions that really lets you test your tactical brain.
The Timeline
Every operation has a timeline. The PDF is in the final stages of playtesting and layout and will be delivered within a week of the campaign finishing. Layout for the physical softcover will be finalized during the campaign, with weekly progress reports for all backers. Deployment is scheduled for September 2026.
The Community
Wargaming is a social endeavor. By backing Eleven Bravo, you aren’t just buying a book: you’re joining a community that supports story-driven wargames. Your support helps fund the initial print run and professional layout, ensuring that No Name Games can continue to bring innovative, story-driven combat to your table.
