Baroque: Europe at War 1550 – 1700

Baroque is a set of wargames rules, based on the Impetus system. The rules allow you to play with miniatures the wars that ravaged Europe from the mid XVI Cent to the end of the XVII Cent.

The book includes game rules for field battles (with examples and diagrams) and 7 army lists to start play immediately:

German Catholic (1618-32)
Swedish (1630-34)
English Royalist (1642-43)
English Parlamentarian (1642-44)
Ottoman Turk (1645-1700)
Later Imperial (1648-1700)
Later Polish (1632-1700)

  The rules are specifically for the period of warfare from roughly 1550 to 1700, covering major conflicts of the era.

  The rules are an adaptation of the popular Impetus wargame system, designed for miniature figures. 
• Components: 

  The rulebook includes detailed rules for conducting battles, army lists, designer notes, and diagrams. 
• Army Lists: 

  Specific army lists are provided, including those for the Catholic and Swedish sides of the Thirty Years’ War, and for the Royalists and Parliamentarians in the English Civil War. 
• Measurements: 

  The game uses centimeters (cm) for all measurements, rather than the more common inches. 
• Command Structure: 

  The rules incorporate a command structure with generals rated by their charisma and command ability, influencing the radius of their influence over units. 
• Flexibility: 

  While focused on European warfare, the rules are flexible enough to be used for other conflicts and non-European armies.
