Hallowtide

Hallowtide is an upcoming black powder, eldritch fantasy miniature skirmish game. The game draws heavy thematic inspiration from dark worlds like Bloodborne and Darkest Dungeon. It emphasizes high-stress survival rather than heroic high-fantasy adventure.

Setting and Lore

The Setting: The game takes place in Voyrune, a grim world that was heavily industrialized 45 years ago.
The Rising: During the industrial golden age, an apocalyptic event known as “The Rising” caused the dead to return and devour civilization.
The Present: While many of the wandering dead have returned to their graves, players must fight back terrifying, nightmare-spawned horrors creeping in from the fringes of the world.

Gameplay and Mechanics

Player Roles: You control a crew of desperate “hunters” attempting to eradicate dark forces either for the greater good or for cold, hard silver.
Play Modes: The rule framework supports solo and cooperative play for 1 to 4 players.
Stress Mechanics: Time is always limited, and monsters are highly lethal. Characters accumulate stress during encounters, which can cause even hardened hunters to lose their minds and break down.
NPC and Monster Stats: Non-player entities are governed by metrics including size (affecting line of sight), speed (movement in inches), damage thresholds, stress capacity, and special playstyle-altering talents.
