This second edition evolves the original ruler-based system into a streamlined, fast-paced experience featuring highly detailed resin miniatures, a revamped resource economy, and deep tactical card management.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

Hex Grid System: Replaces traditional physical tape measures and rulers with hex cells to make movement, range calculations, and positioning fast and intuitive.
Combat & Dice Pools: Utilizes bronze, silver, and gold dice pools that can be upgraded or downgraded based on character abilities, modifiers, and critical hit properties.
Terrain Effects: Features tactical terrain pieces like forests (granting expert defense and panic immunity) and catacombs for specialized movement across the map.

Economy and Deckbuilding

Card Management: Players start with a core faction deck combined with their chosen Hero’s unique cards to form a cohesive battle deck.
Resource Economy: Uses a redesigned prosperity and mana system where cards can be played for effects or discarded to generate the resources needed to summon minions and build your presence on the board.
Victory Conditions: Driven by a shared “feat deck” that also acts as a round counter, alongside objectives like eliminating the enemy hero or meeting specific resource thresholds.
