Tidemark is a narrative skirmish wargame focused on survival in a flooded, dystopian world. Players control small crews of mismatched survivors (max 6 models per player) navigating a city submerged by a carnivorous, magical algae known as “The Ichor”.
Core Gameplay and Mechanics
Setting & Objective: Survivors from the “Islands of the Great Cay” navigate a drowned city, collecting “Tin”—the only material capable of repelling The Ichor—to survive.
Combat Style: The game features a lethal mix of melee (sword fighting/wrestling), shooting, and throwing, with a specific focus on pushing opponents into The Ichor, which acts as an instant-death hazard.
Table Size & Length: Designed for 3×3 foot tables, with games lasting approximately 1-1.5 hours.
Campaign Play: The game supports 2-8 player campaigns where crews gain experience, skills, and injuries while trying to gather enough Tin to escape to safety.
Key Mechanic – Tin Management: Players must manage Tin tokens to purchase equipment and survive, with gameplay often revolving around holding ground or pushing enemies to the edge.
