Warlords of Erehwon

Warlords of Erehwon focuses on warband-level battles (typically 30–50 models per side), utilizing a d10 system and an alternating order dice activation mechanic similar to Bolt Action and Beyond the Gates of Antares.

The Warlords of Erehwon game rules allow us to fight battles between fantasy warriors, mighty sorcerers and ghastly monsters. A force is imagined to number anywhere from twenty or thirty models to about fifty or sixty. This is not a ‘mass battle’ game requiring hundreds of models and a vast tabletop, nor is it a skirmish game for just a handful of models on each side. The scope of our game lies somewhat between – and we call these forces warbands.

Warband Scale: Designed for faster-paced, smaller games than traditional mass-battle fantasy, where 500-1000 point games (roughly 30-60 models) are standard.
“Order Dice” System: Players draw dice from a bag to activate units, allowing for immediate tactical choices and reaction-based play.
Model Agnostic: Rules are designed to be used with any 28mm fantasy miniatures, allowing players to use existing collections, and it is compatible with square or round bases.
Thematic Scope: The game draws from folklore, myth, and classic fantasy fiction, featuring diverse army lists including Barbarians, Dwarves, Elves, Goblins, Undead, and Olympians.
Gameplay Mechanics: Includes mechanics like pin markers for suppressing units and varied combat actions (shoot, charge, ambush).
