Xenotactics – 2nd Edition

Xenotactics is a fast-paced, setting-agnostic tactical sci-fi skirmish game. Designed for 28-32mm miniatures, it allows players to use models from any manufacturer or build custom units from scratch using a points-based calculator. Missions last under an hour and focus on dynamic gameplay.

Key Features and Mechanics

Open Universe: There is no official background story, which allows players to integrate miniatures from existing universes (like Warhammer 40k or Infinity) or create their own custom lore.
Activation and Reactions: The game features an engaging activation system where players aren’t just stuck watching their opponent take a full turn. Players make tough tactical choices on when to activate their units and how to react to enemy actions during their turn.
Streamlined Rules: It is designed for simplicity, meaning fewer tables to look up, no modifiers to calculate, and minimal battlefield clutter.
Warband Size: Squads are small, generally ranging from 3 to 15 miniatures, making it fast to paint, prepare, and transport.
