Mantic Games Releases 2 New Sets for Warmachine

Warmachine: Nymara the Shadowblade

Among the leaders of the Fane of Nyrro, few are as feared or respected as Nymara the Shadowblade. Before she became eldritch, she was a proud knight of House Issyen, but beneath the ruins of Eversael she found creatures far deadlier than any warhorse. Where others saw styrge as monsters to be destroyed, Nymara saw weapons to be understood. Through patience, discipline, and relentless determination, she learned to condition the savage creatures, transforming some of the catacombs’ deadliest predators into living weapons of war.

Nymara wants nothing more than to ride to war. While secrecy and shadows allowed the eldritch of the Fane to survive these long centuries, Nymara was not made for protecting the entrances of tunnels and shrine catacombs against curious explorers. She was made for conquest—the shock of the charge, crushing the enemy line with furious impact, and for the moment when her foes’ discipline collapses, and their formation transforms into a disordered rout.

As the Fane of Nyrro marches to reclaim its place in Western Immoren, Nymara once again leads from the front, soaring above the battlefield atop the very creatures she mastered. Her sweeping cavalry charge has evolved into a headlong divebomb, exchanging galloping hooves for beating wings that blacken the skies above as her murderous host descends. Her victims are first broken by her abhorreth’s chilling shriek, before Nymara crashes into the enemy with the force of a falling star.

Warmachine: Fortress King

Deep within the towering peaks of Alchiere, the Fortress Kings slumbered, prehistoric trollbloods who have become one with the living mountain. Cloaked in stone, these primordial giants possess the unyielding strength and stubborn temperament only ages of peaceful hibernation could forge.

Winning the loyalty of these towering beings without the shamans of the north was an achievement few would have thought possible. Yet the ingenuity of the Kithguard did not stop there. Seeing opportunity where others saw immovable mountains, they transformed the Fortress Kings into living engines of war, mounting cannons and heavy ordnance across their craggy forms without diminishing the ancient power beneath.

Now these mountain-sized warbeasts march alongside the Southern Kriels, each thunderous step shaking the battlefield before unleashing devastating barrages from their stone-armoured backs. Crewed by fearless pygs eager to fire every cannon they can lay their hands on, the Fortress King is the ultimate expression of Kithguard ingenuity, proving that even the oldest forces of nature can be forged into unstoppable weapons of war.
