Leaden Triad is a new, experimental vessel designed and built by the restored Eden Drive Yards Corporation. This pre-war colossus was ended by the Scourge invasion, but this reincarnation is based in its recaptured shipyards. The new corporation has all the recovered tech of its predecessor, including its work on the largest chemical guns ever built. Though they never got a chance to enter service, three prototypes were recovered and have been installed aboard a unique heavy destroyer hull.
Captain Rhiannon Major, the UCM’S top gunner officer at 34, now commands the project. Not a natural leader, but her cold resolve and brilliant mind suit its combat trials. She’s already proved the revived tech by destroying two Bioficer battlecruisers. The house-sized shells deliver immense energy with minimal power draw, letting the ship manoeuvre freely while firing far above its tonnage. Even with her expert calculations and heat control, frequent and costly barrel swaps remain inevitable.

Bioficer Mines are uncharacteristically simple, but characteristically horrible, terror weapons. During Battles, the Bioficers deploy these slow, autonomous munitions in deadly clouds, preferably where the dread Intelligences that control their ships can view the results. Beyond the battlefield, Bioficer mines are cropping up in small numbers semi-randomly throughout Colonial space in just enough numbers to ensure a constant, creeping fear without actually impeding the UCM’s ability to offer up an enjoyable fight.

Being among the fastest capital ships available, battlecruisers were the first huge Bioficer ships encountered. Little data exists, as most of the wreckage was atomised and only a few broken survivors were left, perhaps deliberately, to spread the terror. So far, most have been highly focused designs built around lethality while boasting awesome speed for such massive ships.
Several are essentially flying guns, packing a single, dreadnought-grade weapon like the devastating Decon Annihilator or the Hyper Lightvice. Another variant is the Bioficer’s only known dedicated fleet carrier.
New variants with huge bombardment racks are also appearing, and enhanced variants which include a launch rack for a single, self-deploying surface structure. Even larger than Colonial equivalents, these include the Gravitational Arc, which can suck orbiting ships down into the crushing weight of atmosphere, or the dreaded Ghost Orb Tower. This horror can evaporate the crew and delicate subsystems of ships above to atomic smoke as well as protect its own position with invisible waves of lethal decon energies.
