The Quiet Ville Police Department once stood proudly as the largest building in the entire town. But this grand facade holds a dark, shifting secret that has baffled residents for generations.
Many years ago, the massive stone structure did not belong to Quiet Ville. It was brought here from a very distant, forgotten land, imported brick by brick by an eccentric Count who sought to build his final sanctuary. When the town eventually converted the old manor into the central Police Department, the officers quickly realized that the architecture defied the laws of nature.
Deep within the holding cells, hidden behind heavy iron bars, deputies uncovered terrifying inscriptions carved into the stone by past prisoners. The desperate writings all told the exact same story: they had tried to escape dozens of times, yet they never could.
The prisoners wrote that the very walls of the precinct would move when no one was watching. A hallway that led to the exit one morning would lead to a dead-end cell by midnight. The building always felt entirely different—shifting, twisting, and locking its inhabitants inside like a living, breathing labyrinth.
