The Insurgents – Modern Warfare Operators 4

IronFrontMiniatures

Not every war is fought by nations. Not every soldier wears a uniform.

THE INSURGENTS is the next chapter in our miniatures collection, moving beyond regular forces to explore the other side of modern conflict: irregular fighters, militia units, and guerrilla forces operating in the shadows of the battlefield.

This set brings 22 unique 32mm STL miniatures designed for tabletop wargaming, skirmish systems, and collectors — the perfect asymmetric counterpart to our MODERN WARFARE OPERATORS line.

Each fighter is crafted with dynamic poses, improvised and mixed equipment, and clean silhouettes optimized for both gameplay and painting. Every model has been carefully designed and test printed to ensure reliable results, delivering the perfect balance between high detail and printability.

The Concept

Modern conflict isn’t only fought by regular armies. Across urban ruins, mountain passes, and improvised strongholds, irregular forces have become one of the defining elements of contemporary warfare.

THE INSURGENTS represents an independent, resourceful fighting force made up of two distinct types of fighters, giving the collection real tactical variety on the tabletop:

Traditional fighters — wrapped in turbans and headscarves, wearing long tunics and sandals, with ammo rigs and pouches strapped over their civilian clothing. Armed with AK-pattern rifles, RPGs, combat knives, and handheld radios, they represent the rural, dug-in face of the insurgency.

Urban fighters — masked with balaclavas, dressed in cargo pants and combat boots, wearing more modern tactical vests over plain shirts. Equipped with rifles, grenades, and knives, they represent the faster, more mobile cells operating in the ruins of the modern city.

Both groups share the same DNA: mixed and improvised equipment, non-uniform gear, and a raw, asymmetric look that sets them clearly apart from conventional forces — the perfect opposing side to any Modern Warfare collection.

These fighters were designed to fit perfectly into modern tabletop wargames, skirmish systems, and dioramas, bringing genuine tactical roles to the table: riflemen, anti-armor support, close-quarters specialists, and commanders directing the fight.
