Gorgon Queen
Of all the megafauna lurking on the Tlalocan Moons, the Gorgon Queen is among the most dreaded. It is a serpentine, multi-limbed monstrosity fully capably of biting the torso clean off a Type 9 Walker. Each will spawn millions of Lesser Gorgons over its foul, multi-century lifespan. While those fiendish little maneaters are thankfully no threat to armoured units, a tiny number will just keep growing, eventually becoming Queens.
Primarily an ambush hunter, the Gorgon Queen spends decades chewing out a subterranean nest that can extend for miles laterally and up to half a mile down. When hungry, the Queen will rise into the subsoil, slow her metabolism, and wait for up to a year for movement. From there she will explode into extreme violence, rending the prey to bloody tatters with tooth, claw, and armoured thorax. After so long, she can’t afford for prey to escape, and it rarely does.
Gorgon Queens are also likely the most intelligent of all indigenous life on the Tlalocan moons, with some suggesting a near-human intellect, although of an incomparable kind. Queens certainly take pleasure in savagery beyond their biological needs and will seek vengeance over self-preservation should any of her brood be accidentally squashed beneath armoured feet. Any Queens should, therefore, be exterminated with alacrity, although that’s a task few walker pilots survive.

Typhon
The Typhon is less a creature and more a living fortress; the very ground trembles beneath its colossal tread. Clad in impenetrable, heavy-plated scales, it shrugs off all but the most concerted assaults. While the Typhon is typically observed acting as a defensive entity near Bioficer beacons, this passivity is an illusion maintained solely by the signals emitted from those structures. Without the influence of the beacons, the creature’s true, devastating aggression is unleashed.
