TT Combat Releases 3 New Sets for Dropfleet Commander

Nefertem of the Dawn – Shaltari

Most Shaltari shun stealth as dishonourable, but Nefertem embraced it, commissioning a unique vessel to master subterfuge. Invisible Light proves the Shaltari can equal or surpass Scourge stealth when they choose: a heavy destroyer whose extra frontal superstructure conceals its cloaking system and supports its sole weapon, the Microwave Crescent, a long-range, low-signature microwave array that cooks

Resistance Mines

The Resistance typically employs the FM-1 Void Mine to ring its staging areas, lonely orbital mines, and hideouts. Even if the victim survives, the alarm is raised. They also deploy them in dense clusters in battle to harry and destroy enemy warships. The FM-1 is an uncomplicated device, basically a ball of armoured explosives with contact detonator pins, heat sensors, and micro-thrusters to propel the mine, sluggishly, towards its victim. This very simplicity makes these insidious weapons dependable and long-lived in service to the Resistance.

Resistance Battlecruisers

The Resistance have always operated a huge range of battlecruisers while the UCM have only recently revived the concept. Most of these venerable ships date back before the Scourge invasion and survived due to their potent mix of speed and firepower. A few of the best equipped Resistance forces have capacity to manufacture new vessels, as does the rogue colony of Kalium.

All true warships are prized and carefully used by most Resistance admirals as they’re often irreplaceable assets. As the galaxy-wide conflict grows, more are finally being committed to war, some classes of which have not been seen in action since the days of mankind’s height.

Supercruisers and grand cruisers, both of which share some commonality with battlecruisers, are appearing in greater numbers and variety, as are the upgraded pocket battleships. Several of these include launch clamps for self  deploying, skyscraper-sized surface instillations. These were well established before the war—another concept recently revived by the UCM. Resistance examples include scanner domes, ark landers, and the dreaded ICBM silos.
